My book explains how the concept of discovery can unify higher education giving all faculty a purpose and direction. My central thesis is that discovery is equivalent to creativity and learning thus providing the basis for combining research and education. The discovery/creativity process is explained by analogy to alchemy much like Jung used in his books. The plan is to first present the core pedagogically applicable thesis as a scholarly paper in a teaching journal (developed during my Ethics Fellowship), then work to publish my book that will expand the idea to aid people in their creative and discovery work.
